The majestic Sulochana Mudaliar Bridge is more than 175 years old. This river bridge connects the twin cities of Tirunelveli-Palayamkottai. It helps in crossing the Thamirabarani river that flows between these cities.
The bridge was the sole effort of Sulochana Mudaliyar from Tirunelveli, who sold all his properties to build a bridge over the Tamirabarani River and dedicated it to the people.
